Week of Prayer for the vision and future of our church

Monday 8th February begins a week of prayer here at DBC.  Here is the timetable but focussed prayer times will be going on in our house groups and other gatherings will be announced.

Monday: 10.30-11.30am; 2.00-3.00pm

Tuesday: 6.30am-7.30am; 2.00-3.00pm

Wednesday: 12.30-2.00pm  bring a packed lunch if you wish

Thursday: 10.30-11.30am; 2.00-3.00pm; 7.30-9.30pm

Friday: Set aside time in your own schedule to pray

Sunday: 10.15-10.40am

We know we need to preach the gospel, we do not need any debate about that. But as outlined on Wednesday 3rd Feb at a special church meeting, for our church to be effective in its gospel witness, we need to pray for clear direction regarding our facilities and resources.

The specific needs are 1. that we as a church would hear God’s voice concerning our premises. Looking for a new site is an idea so let’s lay this before the Lord. 2. There is a swell of unbelieving families connected with activities in our church and we must not let them pass us by.

Will you pray concerning the urgent need for workers and be open in your praying to the idea of employing some one to help with the task? This is not the beginning of a new conversation. This is a conversation that has been going on in this church for decades and through urgent prayer we need to finish that conversation and act.

Blessings, Jonathan.
